Only a month left before I leave for Ghana... I've joined a Facebook group for volunteers through IVHQ and it has really helped to relieve some of my anxieties about what to expect!
So far I am done with all my documentation, except I am still waiting on receiving my visa, which was mailed to me yesterday so it should be arriving anytime! Also, my drivers license expires 4.20.10 so I will need to go and get that taken care of here soon.
Also need to acquire some traveler's insurance...
I read on the Facebook group that most people are recommending that the volunteers bring their laptops since there will be a large amount of downtime, and it's a life saver to have something to watch movies on... that and the kids I will be working with love to see pictures and movies and listen to music, so my laptop will come in handy.
I bought some clothes today to take with me, just some light comfy pajamas. I will need to get some long sleeved shirts and track pants for when I'm working.
I feel like I don't have that much left to do but yet I feel like there's so much!!
